Takashi Kamei (亀井孝)
Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1954. His achievements include winning the 1976 All Japan Championship and the 1978 All Japan Field Championship, claiming all major domestic titles. At the Canberra World Championships, he became the first Japanese archer to win an individual silver medal while also securing a bronze medal in the team event. From 1977 to 1986, he played multiple roles at Yamaha Archery, including research and development, testing, sales, and as a competitive athlete. Currently, he runs Pro Select Project and Archery.net, where he sells archery equipment and shares industry information.
